Monitors a Redis database, reporting commands per-second, connections per-second, Used Memory, and more.


Monitors a Redis database, reporting the metrics below:

  • Background save in progress
  • Changes since last save
  • Commands Per-Second
  • Connected clients
  • Connected slaves
  • Connections Per-Second
  • Uptime in hours
  • Used Memory in KB
  • Used Memory in MB
  • Role (master or slave)
  • Hits
  • Misses

Additional Slave Metrics

If this database is a slave, additional metrics are reported:

  • master_link_status (1 for up, 0 for down)
  • master_last_io_seconds_ago
  • master_sync_in_progress


  • Install the redis gem (sudo gem install redis)
  • Install the plugin on
  • Provide the Redis port (default is 6379), client database id (default is 0), and client password (default is none).
